Welcome to Skip Request! By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.
Skip Request provides a pass-through proxy service for API requests, facilitating efficient caching to enhance performance. Our service is tailored for developers and is designed to optimize redundant API requests.
Users are required to register and create an account to use Skip Request. Each user is assigned a unique subdomain (e.g., yoursubdomain.skiprequest.com) and is responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of their account and subdomain. Skip Request reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts with compromised security.
You agree to use Skip Request responsibly and not engage in activities that could harm the service, other users, or violate any applicable laws or the rights of third parties. Prohibited behaviors include attempting to overload or flood endpoint APIs, initiating denial of service attacks, or any form of system abuse. Reverse engineering or attempting to extract the source code or database of our services or any related software is strictly prohibited.
You agree to not send us private data and that we can mark all data we receive back from the API endpoint as shared in our cache. Examples of private data would include (but not exhaustively) banking information, medical records, email data, personal identifiers and other such data that a user would expect to be only accessible behind a password and not available publically.
Skip Request respects intellectual property rights. We do not claim ownership of the content submitted through our service. By using our service, you grant us permission to store the responses and a SHA256 encoded version of your request for caching purposes and to share these with users who make identical requests.
Skip Request strives for a high standard of service reliability, targeting 99.99% uptime. Despite our efforts, we recognize that occasional, unplanned service interruptions may occur. In the event of a significant service outage, affected users may request a one-month service credit by emailing [email protected] with the specific details of the outage. This remedy is subject to our review and approval. It's important to note that our liability for any service-related issues is capped at the total subscription fees paid by the user. If you are at risk of greater loss than the amount paid you are required to implement a failsafe mechanism for direct API calls as a precautionary measure against potential business impacts during unexpected service downtimes.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skip Request, its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another. This indemnification obligation will survive the termination or expiration of your use of our service and these Terms.
While we strive to maintain high standards for Skip Request, we provide the service on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the service does not violate any applicable laws or the rights of third parties. In the event of a claim arising from a user's actions that violates these terms or any laws, the user agrees to assume responsibility and protect Skip Request from any legal or financial repercussions.
You may cancel your Skip Request account at any time. Instructions for canceling your account can be found in your account settings or by contacting customer support.
Skip Request reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email at least one month before they become effective. Continued use of our service after changes have been made constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
We value our users' feedback and suggestions for improving Skip Request. If you submit any suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you agree that we are free to use them without any restriction or compensation to you. By submitting them, you hereby grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use and incorporate into our services any suggestions or feedback provided by you.
By using Skip Request, you grant us the non-exclusive right to use your company's logo in our marketing materials, including but not limited to our website, presentations, customer lists, and case studies. This use is purely for illustrative purposes to indicate that you are a customer of Skip Request, and does not imply any endorsement or approval by your company. If you prefer that we do not use your logo, please inform us in writing, and we will respect your decision.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. This ensures that even if one part of these Terms is invalidated, the rest will continue to be in effect.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
